Sounds like he paid off a banker to push a deal to someone that kept him in power...can't really say I'm surprised.
I don't really have any moral outrage over this, but I just find it so tiresome that this guy is still the figurehead of a sport I love. He brings down the whole organization with his backhanded dealings, asshole behavior, and generally unpleasantness.
What do you guys think?

Agreed. I would say we kick his ass, but I think he might like it. So, time for him to move on.

Old news. That aside — I think the only reason the sport is what it has grown into over the past 20 years, specifically, and further back generally is because of Bernie. Good and bad, for better or for worse, you owe it all to Bernie if you're under 40 years of age and a fan of F1. Don't want to take it from me? I'll turn this convo over to Murray Walker:

That may be true...but he's still an asshole and things like this more or less show that to be the case. I'm not going to deny he's done some big things for getting F1 popular again...but honestly I think it's time for him to go.
